Reflecting on shadows in restored BC city

On our way home from a lovely long drive to visit friends and family in British Columbia last week, I asked my intrepid photographer/chauffeur if he would stop in the artfully restored heritage city of Nelson, BC. It meant only a short detour from our route on Highway 3. He agreed, and our traveling companion, the lovely Lindy, didn't object either.
In Nelson, we found subtle reflections and shadows awaiting us in the windows and crenellations of beautiful old buildings, and also some reflections and shadows on cars.

Very nice set of pictures ; I particulary enjoyed the first one, with the mysterious face at the window...

I've always heard how beautiful Nelson is, and what great "energy" is there. Lovely, Kay. My morning mini-vacation!

Nice shots! The top two photos remind me of some old buildings that I've seen in Texas.

Nelson is so lovely nested in amongst the "hills."

All these images speak so much of what summer is about! How I would not mind being by the shore of that lake...

That shadowy lookout on the lake shore seems like the perfect place to while away several hours.
